Margin Insight: Profit Is Not a Vibe

How actual, committed and estimated margin combine finance, sales, pickup, outbound and cost data into one uncomfortable but useful view.

Revenue is easy to celebrate. Margin is where the truth sits down and clears its throat. ReVend OS's margin insight page pulls together the records that decide whether a job, deal or channel actually made money.

What the view combines

/finance/margins reads settlement, invoice, escrow, Market, Auction, pickup, outbound and sellable-asset data. It separates actual margin, committed margin and estimated margin so finance can tell the difference between finished reality and work still moving through the building.

Missing cost detection

Missing costs are flagged instead of quietly treated as zero. Zero can be a real number; missing is a question. ReVend makes the question visible before someone turns an incomplete record into a confident monthly report.

Cost allocation

Operators can capture and confirm cost allocation where the workflow needs it. That helps finance reconcile services, logistics, refurb work, fees and settlement outcomes without inventing a spreadsheet parallel universe.

CSV export

The page supports CSV export for review and month-end work. Use it as an analysis handoff, not as the source of truth. The source of truth remains the underlying records; the export is the suitcase they travel in.
