Saved Layouts: One Dashboard Per Job, All Yours

How named dashboard layouts work, how ReVend OS opens them, and how cloning, renaming, deleting, and shared visibility behave.

Saved layouts are named dashboard views. A user can keep one layout for daily operations, another for finance review, another for a quarterly meeting, and open each through its own dashboard URL.

Creating a layout

Use New from Dashboard. ReVend OS opens the preset picker; choose a role preset or Empty Dashboard, then name the layout. The URL slug is derived from the name, so a layout named Morning Standup opens at /dashboard/morning-standup.

Opening layouts

/dashboard opens the default visible layout when one exists. If no default is set, ReVend OS opens the first visible layout. A specific layout opens at /dashboard/[slug]. If that slug no longer matches a visible layout, ReVend OS sends the user back to /dashboard.

Renaming and URLs

Rename changes the layout name and therefore its dashboard slug. After rename, ReVend OS opens the new URL so the address bar matches the layout name.

Clone, delete, reset

Clone makes a personal copy of the current layout. Delete removes the current layout after confirmation; if another layout remains, ReVend OS opens that one, and if none remain it returns to the preset picker flow. Reset to preset opens the preset picker to create a fresh preset-based layout.

Shared visibility

A visible layout can be your own or shared inside the organization. Shared layouts are useful as a team starting point. If you need to change one for yourself, clone it and work on your own copy.
